may be going rb20det soon.

reasons:
1. manual - i may be able to get hold of a manual 200zr halfcut.
2. aftermarket support for the rb20det is better than the vg30e(t).
3. the sound.

things im worried about:
1. weight distribution. but we'll see how we go.

everyone go to my for sale thread and help me out lol.

I wouldn't worry abut weight distribution, since you have a 2+2 anyway. Theres more weight over the back of the car than a 2 seater. Most 200ZR's were 2+2's anyway.

change of plans.. and this time, they'll probably stick.

going to strip the car back and respray it after we move house in a month or 2. at this time, ill do a few things to strengthen the chassis and probably remove some of the bog i found in various places of the car.

colour choice will probably be silver over grey 2-tone, unless i see something else and like it even more.

now for the fun part. coilovers, possible non-vg engine swap (or atleast turbo vg), manual gearbox, lsd, possible roll cage pending legalities, and a few other goodies will be thrown back in when its time to put it all back together. im hoping to have it ready for powercruise 2008, if not sooner.

my main focus with this car is handling, but that doesnt mean the power/show/interior departments will be neglected either.

Ok..

Seen a z31 on ebay just then, in another state, that ends soon. but is cheap. and may work out cheaper than finding a good condition rego'd manual over here.

Can anyone get good rates on freight? I'm working off an estimate I got a while back of ~$750 from QLD to Perth.

I'll do some thinking between now and the end of the auction to see whether it's worth it, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Lol I didn't get it, too much stuffing around being in another state.

But I am on the lookout for a good condition manual z31 in WA.

Haha don't know, previous owner doesn't either. Good thing fiberglass is easy enough to fix.

And so I cruised to Harvey with a few mates on saturday. After running the fuel system cleaner through it, runs alot better. Going to do an oil change soon, then if the timing retard is still too much of an issue, I'll slowly advance it without a light just a tad then go for a drive till I get it close enough (would use a light, but as I said in another thread, the belt was put back in the wrong position so a light would be pointless).

Nah. Apart from the mark on the belt been in the wrong spot, the rest of it's fine, and I really can't be bothered putting all that time into something that's only supposed to last me a few months at the most anyway.

Ooh awesome! He seems to have the rest of the kit too. I'd love the rest of the kit lol.

I saw a z31 on ebay with the same front spoiler the other day too, which I found interesting seeing as that was in Australia.
