i almost lost it driving mums car in the hills today (well, technically yesterday, cos its 2:13am now) lol, remind me never to drive a magna spiritedly. i think something in the steering is broken or something because i straightened the wheel like a quater of a turn after coming around a bend and NOTHING happened! after realising this, i straightened it an 8th of a turn to get it dead straight and it suddenly straightened lol. was doing $1.05 on GEH (in the 80c section) at the time too..

Anyone know how much it costs to take a car over the pits? I gotta get the astra licenced after i fix it lol.. On that note, I was told the problem with it was a leaking metal rod between the pedal and the clutch that fluid goes through. Can anyone tell me the proper name for the rod? Haha the mechanic only used basic terms cos he was talking to my dad who's not-so-mechanically-minded. Dad just passed on the info to me after saying I could have the car lol.

...And does anyone know any wreckers with a manual n13 pulsar or LD astra? lol if not I'll just ring around after I get the car here, shouldn't be too hard to find.

amen to that. I hate mornings. I moved closer to work so I could sleep in longer. Instead of having to drive for 45 minutes to get to work it now takes me about 2-5 minutes depending on the one traffic light I have to wait for. I sleep till quarter to nine, and start at 9:30.  Save a bunch on petrol too.

Haha nice. As of monday, I now work from 6am to 3pm detailing cars. After my first day, I fell asleep within an hour of been home and only just woke up then lol. I think/hope I get used to these hours soon tho, my body feels a bit weird right now lol. I didn't realise how tired I was after work till I managed to hit 2 curbs on the way home lol. My knee cap is stuffed. most of the cartilage underneath it where it rubs over the leg bone is worn out. Used to make cracking noises too.

Have to go easy on it now. Have to lean on stuff when getting up etc. cant crawl around on my knees when fixing cars etc. Got one of those mechanic stools with wheels on it to take the strain off.

I saw a Supra parked on the side of the freeway last week. It was night time, but it looked in ok condition.

Just passed it again today (one week later), and the back is all smashed in, windows broken, bonnet up.

You cant leave a car anywhere these days without people thinking its fair game to smash it up and steal stuff off it.

Theres a post on the supra forums about it, and you would think they would respectful of another supra owners property, but they are all like, lets go and steal bits off it. What if it was their car, and it had broken down, and they had left it till morning to come back for it and found it all smashed up and wheels and other stuff stolen off it?

Sure it's probably stolen and abandoned, but what if the guy doesn't have insurance? was in fair condition a week ago, but its a complete write-off now

Years ago near whitfords ave on the freeway, some guy climbed into the boot of his car and shot himself. The car was reported, the cops came and took the plates off it, didn't notice the dead guy in the boot. ot the bullet hole in the side of the car. The car sat there for over a week. When the car was finally about to be towed away they noticed. Think it was the towie that found him.

The government was pretty embarrassed about the whole matter, and declared that any car left on the freeway would be removed within 24 hours.  Which they did for a while. Now they've gone back to not giving a shit.

That car will probably end up in my local impound yard.

I don't really want to have more than 1 car.

But I really want an e30, and I really want either a manual z31 or to fix mine and make it manual.

Do I sell up and buy an e30, or have 2 cars.. Either way, I'd stay in the z31 scene (what little scene we have in Australia atleast.. lol).

Oh, and the e30 would probably have a nissan engine by the time I'm done with it lol.

Got p's, rac is being a cuntface with my battery, and car misfires hardcore when it is running.

Need to charge battery for 48 hours, and car is getting serviced thursday (cause i don't have the time, effort, money and tools to di myself) Its also my birthday present (oh joy)

The mechanic I spoke to a while back at the nissan dealer in wangara seems quite knowledgeable, can't remember his name but maybe go there and ask if you can speak to a mechanic about it first?

Edit: Alternatively, take it to a place like Hyperdrive (or Top Racing if you dont mind going SOR), I believe places like that do servicing too.

As for the VG38ET.. Haha, if I didn't already have the turbo parts I'd just throw vh41de pistons & z31 cams in it and have a high comp VG34E. But nah, cheaper to just throw the turbo parts on the VG33E with z31 cams.

It's been put on hold for a month or 2, but when we sort out details I'll share them.

Mine was being used for a few days until I put 91ron in because dad was paying and I thought I'd be nice lol. Needless to say, the timing issue is alot more apparent to the point where I've been driving mums car everywhere again. But, tomorrow morning I'll adjust the timing and increase the idle so I can get places in my own car atleast lol.

I also bought some headlight strobes to put in my pile of planned mods lol.
