My ZHello all this is my Z. i have owened it for a little over a year now and it has been through a number of changes. first i converted it to turbo (no 2+2 model in the USA was turbo'ed) , converted it to Five lug hubs so i could mount my Z33 wheels , I lowered it using Eibach lowering springs and Tokico shocks and struts . my plans for this winter is a full respray (colour not yet decided) , and a full vg33 with Holset hx35w , and Nistune to controll it.
Let me know what you think !

camberHow did you make your rear camber get enough negative camber?
I need to do the same only that i know there are a few ways to do it and I would like to know the best way. Thanks
Was it the same way as this http://z31.com/mods/suspension/rearcamber.shtml ?
Good luck with the engine swap! you should be punching some great numbers
With the gauges on the drive side, is one of them an air to fuel ratio? the middle one? if so how did you hook it up, did you use a new bung?
By the way i was curious why you are on an aussie z31 site, not that i care either way i value the extra knowledge that anyone can give me about a z31, jsut that there are heaps of American z31 sites that would prob be more beneficially for you.
Anyways to answer your question | Quote: | | Let me know what you think ! |
I love it! and are extremely jealous
Though ... i dont like that exhaust one bit, jsut dont see the point in the bend at the last minute ... sorry

well when I lowered the car I lucked out and I don't have too much negative camber. Didn't mod the rear at all other than the Eibach lowering springs and the tokico 5 ways .
With my build the Holset turbo , Nistune , port and polish , 1mm oversize valves , and some forged pistons and rods I will be putting down some good numbers ,yes!!! The cool thing is my uncle owns his own dyno so I can tune it for free
Yes my middle gauge is a Narrow band A/F ratio gauge nothing more than a light show . It is hooked up to the signal wire of the O2 sensor .
the top one is a Boost gauge and the bottom one is a cylinder head temp. gauge .
Well in a way this is kind of weird reason but... when I was in high school there was a exchange student from AUS that I dated, and have since lost contact with WOW 12 years ago . so I have always been kind of partial to any thing Australian . Call me a weirdo if ya want too ..Man I miss you Sara Plus I get to show my z off !!!!
as for the exhaust yes, I don't like it either but it was the only one I had at the time The z got put back together . it was bought for a VW I had as this is a popular muffler for VEE DUBS in the states . Was thinking about taking a hacksaw and cutting the last two bends off should look better

WOW you did get lucky. For me i rub out the inside of my tires as they aren'y sitting level, so i'll have to get either a camber kit from the z store.com or file away!. Maybe because you changed the shocks over aswell ... hmm.

Ah ok, so with a 'real' a/f ratio gauge you need a new O2 sensor?
