Cleaned up most the grounds, put in my turbosmart boost controller, fixed a few vacuum leaks (have to replace all the lines) went to the car wash..Still randomly misfires.I have traced it down to a voltage problem. When driving in the dark with headlights on,if i turn on the fan or demister the headlights will dim, dash lights dim, tacho drops and engine misfires more.Im thinkin maybe battery is buggered and the alternator has to cover for it,hence the dim because of the delay for the voltage regulator to pick up on it...Gonna try another battery tommorow.

Howdy
Bit of an update..Replaced nearly all the vacuum lines under the bonnet.Doesn't blow permanent hot air now, vents all work and the cruise works now too.The vacuum line that was on there slipped off the nipple so thats why it would activate and all but not do anything..New injectors are in,doesnt stink like fuel anymore and now zero chance of an engine fire, thank christ..Never want a repeat of that.So now,im gonna install the stereo on the weekend, all new wires run to the speakers and everything, bit of time involved there im sure..Then,next weekend im going to attack the rear main. Its leaking pretty savage, must have come loose im thinking and got torn to bits..Took like 4 hours to swap the stupid injectors, dang theres alot of crap crammed into that engine bay!

Ahh ok thanks. I guess if more than half the injectors in my parts car are fucked I'll just look for a set of vlt ones second hand then.. Unless I can afford gtr injectors or something.

Do not get 2nd hand injectors under any circumstance.I got a set,got them tested and they were fine.Put them in the car and the bastards leaked.Getting them tested isnt enough, they dont go through the same conditions as on an engine.Just get brand newies or rebuilt ones..Please?lol..

Put the stereo in,sounds pretty dam good. This Z i found has alot more sound deadening than the old one so that helps a bit.The old stereo was done professionaly so it wasnt too hard to put in the new headunit.Id say mine looks more professional than the old one, what do u reckon?Put Alpines in the rear and Pioneers in the front, think they are 200W speakers.Sony sub in the boot, gotta get a smaller box coz it looks like crap..Pyle Driver amp.2000W max and 1000W RMS.Headunit is a Blaupunkt, changed the color of the display to match the rest of the car.Took an entire day to put it all in,new wires to all the speakers..Glad its done tho.Ill get pics soon, just uploading them now.

Old wiring,messy lookin..

New wiring,nice and neat.

RCA cables done

Installed,sorry bout the blurryness

The amp, seats still fold up.The sub sits right behind it.

Rear speakers, the original speaker covers still fit over so hides them nicely

And the fronts.

Only thing im not so sure about is the rear swaybar bushes.Seem to be too big, swaybar measured 22mm,pack said 22mm but they are too big.Doesnt thump around or anything tho...AND,us Aussies got skimped again with our cars having 22mm swaybars front and rear and no lsd...Rigged!!

Front passenger swaybar mounts. These are snug as against the swaybar, unlike the back..

Front passenger strut arm, they all it on the pack.I call it a caster bar..

Rear looks pretty hey..The old bushes werent so bad,i dont think they were originals.

Nice, nice.

Hmm.. Something I never really thought about, I spose a thicker swaybar would come with its own bushes then yeah? I was going to get msa 25.4mm (1") swaybars and put them in at the same time as the prothane stuff, after the respray..
