Just noticed this site. Good idea! It's about time there's an Aussie Z forum (can I say Aussie? Is that ok?)
Anyways, you may know me from the Z31 world already. I'm in cali USA and we don't have non-300ZX models here. I think you guys got almost all different Z's right? Like 200Z, 200ZG, 300ZR etc...?
If so, where do you get your repair info? I need help with this because I don't have access to any of it. I can only find USA sources for Factory Service Manuals. I really want to know more about the VG20ET and VG20DET, and VG30DET, especially wiring diagrams and specs.

We only got 2+2 300zx's, and until 1986 there was no turbo option. They were never really that popular over here.
Anything else is an import. _________________ - My Zed - My Space - For Sale -

awww man.
I guess thats good to know though.
So it seems that its quite easy to import cars over there?
I've seen many many 300ZR's and 200ZR's ZG's and 200Z's there (via online).
I've even seen them in cheesy used car dealership ads online.
Thats never the case in USA. |

pre-89 cars arent too hard, bit expensive tho.
NZ is where its at! slackest import laws ever, and still no legal reason to have a cat (as long as you pass emissions testing). _________________ - My Zed - My Space - For Sale -

Try ebay.com.au they sometimes have the service and repair manuals on CD.
there is a difference the repair manual is more in depth and would have the wiring diagrams and that sort of stuff.
you might have to check back every now and then because there only there every now and then.
good luck with your car mate cya _________________ FRIENDS DONT LET FRIENDS DRIVE COMMODORES. |

We mostly either make it up, use manuals from other VG30E(T) cars, and just take a wild stab in the dark lol.
Most parts of the car are similar to USDM models, but there are a few bits that really get to your head, like where the hell is the hold up relay for the lights, does anyone know?
The hardest part about using american service manuals is location location location.
